Tokyo, Japan, June 23, 2014-On June 19, PT. ELASTOMIX INDONESIA (President: Tomoki Miyazaki), a joint venture of ELASTOMIX Co., Ltd. (Emix) and PT. Prospect Motor (PM), held the opening ceremony of its rubber compounding plant for manufacturing carbon masterbatch (CMB).

PT. ELASTOMIX INDONESIA is a joint venture funded by Emix (75%) and PM (25%), established in July 2013. Completed in March 2014, the company’s compounding plant began commercial production in April 2014. The plant possesses a production capacity of 9,000 tons per year with one Banbury No. 9 mixer.

The opening ceremony was attended by many guests, including Emix President Koichi Kawasaki (JSR Executive Managing Officer), representatives of PM, those concerned with the plant’s construction, and customers.

PT. ELASTOMIX INDONESIA is the ELASTOMIX Group’s second base in the ASEAN region after Elastomix (Thailand) Co., Ltd. In Indonesia, against the background of economic development and expected further growth of the automobile industry, the company will demonstrate the quality and technological capabilities developed by the Emix Group and promptly meet customers’ demands.
