Notice Regarding Transfer of Shares in Consolidated Subsidiary

Tokyo, Japan, March 12, 2014 - This serves as notification that JSR Corporation (Representative Director and President: Mitsunobu Koshiba) decided to transfer all shares in JSR Microtech Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSR, to ISC Co., Ltd. in South Korea at the end of March 2014.
JSR Microtech Inc. was established in 1988 and has been engaged in the production and sales of testing fixtures using a unique anisotropic conductive silicone rubber sheet (PCR™) for printed circuit boards and semiconductor IC.
After considering the current business situation and the future business direction of JSR Microtech Inc., JSR Corporation concluded that a transfer of business to another company would be the best solution in order to further expand and develop the business of JSR Microtech Inc. Therefore, JSR Corporation entered into negotiation with ISC Co., Ltd., a leading company in the semiconductor testing fixture market in South Korea, where the market of said business has been growing. Consequently, JSR Corporation and ISC Co., Ltd. agreed and decided to transfer all shares in JSR Microtech Inc. and related patents, etc., owned by JSR Corporation to ISC Co., Ltd. at the end of March 2014.
The transfer of JSR Microtech Inc. will have minimal impact on the consolidated business results of JSR Corporation.
