On June 3, at an annual event devoted to hazardous materials safety, held by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, JSR Optech Tsukuba and JSR Micro Kyushu, both JSR Group companies, simultaneously received Fire Defense Awards from the Commissioner of the Fire and Disaster Management Agency. The awards are granted to excellent companies that have made voluntary and active efforts concerning the safety management of hazardous materials, cooperated in the promotion of fire and disaster management regarding the security of hazardous materials, and made an outstanding contribution to safety for citizens in their daily lives.

This year, awards were given to 25 business facilities in Japan. Four of the recipients were from the chemical industry, and two were from the JSR Group.

As recipients of these awards, we will further promote safety and security management.
