Delivery Science Class Held at Kashima-Area Middle School

CSR 12/10/2012
On December 6th, employees from the JSR Kashima Plant conducted delivery science classes for 180 second-year students from Kamisu Second Municipal Middle School. This is the 4th class to be held in the Kashima region since the very first was held in FY 2009.

The delivery science class is held 5 times for each class of students, over which period they perform the "synthesis of rubber," "bouncy ball and non-bouncy ball," "plastic that doesn't crack" experiments and get explanations of molecular structure and the characteristics of raw materials. Students who took the classes reacted positively to the classes saying "I found an interest in science!" and "I want to hear more about what they taught us." The classes were covered by the Ibaraki Shimbun and the school website as well.
