JSR Gives "Yokkaichi Kids' CO2 Reduction Challenge" Delivery Science Class

On January 15th at Kawahara Elementary School near the JSR Yokkaichi Plant, JSR employees gave a delivery science class for two classes of 46 fifth-year students on the topic of "Yokkaichi Kids' CO2 Reduction Challenge."
The "Yokkaichi Kids' CO2 Reduction Challenge" is a charitable collaboration between the City of Yokkaichi and several corporations to raise elementary school students' awareness of the environment by having them go on an electricity and water "diet" (usage reduction).
The classes teach the students how to read electricity and water meters by themselves so that they can monitor their actual meters at home for the diet. The employees hold the classes making sure to avoid formal language and create a friendly atmosphere to gain and keep the students' interest.
