Regarding Fire at the Yokkaichi Plant (11/27/2012 Follow-Up Report)

This is an update on the situation after the fire that broke out in the band dryer of the JSR Yokkaichi Plant’s Emulsion SBR (E-SBR) production line at 10:13pm on November 15, 2012.
Although a section of the facilities in the E-SBR plant were stopped due to the fire, as of November 26th, all areas other than the one line that was the origin of the fire have successfully restarted operations.
We are working steadily to recover the one stopped line and will restart it after it passes inspection.
We will continue to make every effort to ensure safety in our manufacturing operations.
