JSR Corporation extends our sincerest apologies about the fire which occurred at our production facilities for emulsion polymerization styrene-butadiene rubbers(E-SBR) in our Yokkaichi Plant on November 15, 2012. The fire started at 10:13pm and was brought under control at 1:32 am, November 16, 2012.

An on-site inspection will be conducted today, November 16 at 10 am by local authorities (the Yokkaichi City Fire Department, Yokkaichi Minami Police Office, and the Yokkaichi Labor Standards Inspection Office). JSR will fully cooperate with the above local authorities to investigate the cause of the accident.
