JSR Chiba Plant Welcomes Elementary School Students as Part of Chiba Prefecture, Ichihara City’s Environment Month

On June 19th, 165 fifth-graders from the Ichihara City Chigusa Elementary School toured the JSR Chiba Plant and learned about its facilities and programs aimed at reducing the plants environmental impact.
Though time was limited, the students seemed very interested in the explanations given by the Chiba plant employees and we think that the students reconfirmed the importance of protecting the environment by getting a close look at the efforts a company makes towards environmental conservation.
Ichihara City has declared June to be “Environment Month” and the city arranges tours of waterfront plant facilities for elementary school students in observation of this. JSR will continue to cooperate in these activities.
