Regarding the Explosions and Fire at BST Elastomers in Thailand

JSR would like to express our deep condolences to all the victims of the explosions and fire which occurred on May 5th, 2012 around 3:20pm (local time) at BST Elastomers Co., Ltd. (BSTE) located at the Map Ta Phut industrial estate in Thailand.
JSR is engaged in a joint venture called JSR BST Elastomers Co., Ltd. with Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST) which is the parent company of BSTE. Our new manufacturing plant for S-SBR (Solution Polymerization Styrene-Butadiene Rubber), which is currently under construction, is located 2 kilometers north of the explosion. At present there are no reports of damage to the construction site.
We are ready to support BST as much as possible if needed.
