Special Lecture on Industrial Engineering Held at Nihon University

December 15th, 2011, JSR researchers held "Special Lecture on Industrial Engineering" at the College of Industrial Technology at Nihon University.
The JSR lecturer first gave an overview of rubber and its qualities as well as quality assurance themed on manufacturing methods and quality control. Next, using a question-and-answer format, he explained the synthetic rubber manufacturing process, ranging from raw material procurement to claim response by analogizing it to curry rice.
This program is one part of an enterprise to strengthen bonds between the industrial and academic fields. Held once a year since 2005, it is executed in cooperation with Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture with the goal of advancing research and technical education through mutual cooperation of corporations and schools.
