JSR Yokkaichi Plant Holds Two-Day Work Experience Program for Middle School Students

Since Fiscal Year 2008 JSR's Yokkaichi Plant has been cooperating with local city schools to provide work experience programs for junior high school students as a part of JSR's social action programs. This year, three second-year students from Yokkaichi Municipal Minami Junior High School participated in a three-day-long program starting September 27th.
In the firefighter training practice, the three students experienced being dispatched to the scene of a fire where they experienced operating a fire hose. On the last day, the three were appointed as Plant-Managers-For-The-Day, after which they patrolled the premises and entered the Research Center's clean room. Over the span of three days, they experienced quite a few things they don't have a chance to at school.
