Yokkaichi Municipal Minami Junior High School Learn "What It Means to Work"

On June 28, the Manager of JSR Performance Polymer Research Laboratories delivered a lecture on the theme "What It Means To Work" to approximately 20 second-grade students of Yokkaichi Municipal Minami Junior High School. The lecture was given as part of the "Listen to Professionals!" program to help prepare students for a work experience program in autumn.
While providing an opportunity to experience the joy of chemistry through actual chemical experiments, the manager told students that working means realizing one's own dreams while also contributing to society. "I'm more interested now in chemistry," said one student. Others commented, "I understand what working is better now," and "I'm going to keep working hard in school so that I can get a job that will help me realize my dreams." We hope the students will learn a lot from the work experience program no matter which occupation they choose and that they will remember "What it Means to Work."
JSR will continue to organize educational events like these in the future.
