Taking Science Lectures on the Road Program' Held for 1st Time at Elementary School

JSR's Yokkaichi Plant has held special "Taking Science Lectures on the Road Program" events at local junior high schools since 2007. Recently, the plant prepared an original program for elementary school students in cooperation with Yokkaichi City, and conducted the class for the first time at local elementary schools.
The special science classes were held on November 29 for 113 fifth-grade students of Yokkaichi Hinaga Elementary School, and on December 16 for 97 sixth-grade students of Yokkaichi Utsube Higashi Elementary School.
When they experienced the moment when rubber was formed during an emulsion polymerization experiment, the children's eyes twinkled with excitement as they enjoyed a class of an unusual style from their regular ones.
The JSR Group will continue to promote such educational activities.
