JSR to establish overseas subsidiary in China

CORPORATE 01/18/2010
JSR Corporation (President: Mitsunobu Koshiba) has announced plans to establish an overseas subsidiary in Shanghai. The Shanghai-based affiliate aims to enhance sales and marketing function in the Chinese market, which has continued to grow rapidly.

Further to China's burgeoning growth in the automotive industry, the Chinese government has recently revealed plans to actively develop its high-tech industry. Hence, JSR's major customers in the information technology/electronic materials business have supported plans to form a manufacturing base in China. In step with this movement, JSR aims to further enhance its client support system by establishing a local corporation in China.

In China's fast-growing market, JSR will aim to establish a more locally-attached marketing system in the company's core businesses; that is, the petrochemicals, semiconductor materials and flat panel display materials businesses. JSR will strive to swiftly respond to clients' needs, as well as fine-tune its framework to provide high-quality products in a growing and expanding Chinese market.
