The report aims to explain to all stakeholders in a comprehensible manner the JSR Group's policy and efforts toward a sustainable society.

1. Features of CSR Report 2009
(1) From this year, the scope of the report has been expanded to include not only JSR Corporation, but every group company in Japan and overseas (28 consolidated subsidiaries and five affiliate companies to which the equity method is applied).
(2) Two versions of the report-a printed booklet and a Web version-are available, making full use of each media's features.

[Booklet version]
A printed version has been compiled in a compact and easy-to-read style, enabling readers to easily understand JSR Group's CSR activities. The report focuses on the main topics JSR wants to communicate.

[Web version]
In addition to the contents covered in the booklet version, the Web version reports in detail on specific approaches of CSR management, responsible care (environment, security and health), and social activities.

(4) Work-life balance (harmonizing work and lifestyle)

By implementing a career re-entry system and a volunteer vacation, JSR has worked on measures to realize a balance between work and lifestyle.

(5) Efforts toward educating the next generation
