JSR Corporation (president: Yoshinori Yoshida) is to open a branch office in Singapore on September 1, to boost sales in the region of advanced materials such as those used for the manufacture of semiconductors.
The new office is to be situated in the Singapore Science Park, which is located next to the National University of Singapore.
Singapore, Malaysia and the surrounding regions have grown at a rapid rate, and many European and U.S. semiconductor manufacturers have transferred their latest technologies and opened R&D facilities in the region to create production bases in order to take advantage of continued future growth.
In addition, Singapore is strategically positioned as a base for cultivating other Asian markets, in terms of its outstanding infrastructure and convenient access to other parts of Asia.
In order to provide appropriate, timely information and support to customers by swiftly comprehending their needs, JSR decided to establish a branch office in Singapore.
