In June 2008, the JSR Group reorganized its structure to advance CSR activities. Up to that point, CSR activities carried out the CSR Committee had centered on the areas of "responsible care" and "corporate ethics." The Group's CSR initiatives were further strengthened through the reorganization, which created the following four new committees under the CSR committee: the Corporate Ethics Committee, which works to ensure corporate ethics and prevent misconduct; the Responsible Care Committee, which aims to achieve a sustainable society by advancing the concept of responsible care; the Risk Management Committee, which seeks to further improve risk management structures; and the Social Contribution Committee, which examines and advances the social contribution activities that the Group should pursue.
